Description The races of the Sixties are now long gone. It was a time of legendary drivers and tracks, even if we have almost all forgotten them by now. Design and construction techniques were in rapid and disorderly evolution. The tracks remained as they once were. And how many drivers lost their lives on those tracks without escape routes, elastic or metal barriers. Security was an unknown concept. Every departure was almost a bet on life: a bet consciously accepted. Precisely in those years Jackie Stewart and then the GPDA (Grand Prix Driver Association) began their crusade for greater safety on circuits and races in parallel with the speeds that had increased thanks to the understanding of aerodynamics applied to racing cars. This book intends to remember those years and that evolution through a collection of photos by the author.
